Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to conduct stigma-reduction research using ethical, cross-cutting and implementation science approaches, how to meaningfully engage communities in such research without further stigmatizing individuals, and how to address and mitigate stigma in health facilities. The session is intended for a diverse audience as the tools, analytic approaches, metrics, and recommendations discussed will be relevant to public health researchers across a range of diseases. The format will include didactic presentations, question-and-answer sessions, and facilitated small group discussions to promote dialogue between panelists and attendees.
